Wind Orchestras’ Concert “Brass Storm”

Kalnai Park

July 5

The KalnaiPark will be filled with the sounds of brass pipes. The joint wind orchestra of over one hundred children, youth and adult groups will render popular melodies by Lithuanian composers. The saxophone and trumpet players will form separate orchestras. Their performance will be followed by a grand and loud show of military wind orchestras. An elemental “Brass Storm” will draw all the spectators in the show, making them sing and jollify together with the best blowers, drummers and dancers. The concert having started as a mild wind gust will gradually transform into an unseen element, echoing the K. Donelaitis “The Seasons”, carrying the audience to the halls of the castle of the ancient Lithuanian capital Trakai and bringing back to the modern rhythms of the city.
